MOSES MALAN FAYA is a Partner in PLATINUM & TAYLOR HILL, and he heads the Data Protection & Cybersecurity and Start-Ups practice. With an unwavering interest in Cybersecurity, Internet Governance and Research, he has built a unique career path for himself in the legal profession.

Moses has worked with notable law firms and am that drafted the 2018/2019 Nigerian Data Protection Bill. He actively participated in the National Cybersecurity Capacity Review for Nigeria in the Review of the Cybercrime Act 2015, Nigeria Cybersecurity Policy and Strategy. He is also a Senior Researcher for Advocacy for Policy Innovation.

These have led to his numerous publications on Cybersecurity and Internet Governance in the legal profession. Some of his notable works include Cybersecurity for Lawyers and Law firms (Tackling Cyber risks and Data Breaches), Cybersecurity Implications of the General Data Protection Regulation, Investigations of the Right to be Forgotten in the Digital Age, Understanding Digital Innovation and Digital Transformation (Tech Hubs and Maker Spaces), Assessment of Cybersecurity Governance in Nigeria, Moonlight Maze (International Law and Cyber Espionage), and Cyber Diplomacy in Africa (Lessons from the African Cybersecurity Convention).

Faya is a graduate from the University of Jos (LL.B), and he holds a Masters of Cybersecurity Degree from the Centre for Cyber Space, Nasarawa, Nigeria. He is a member of The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), The International Young Lawyers Association, and The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria.
