Can A Lawyer Sign or File Legal Document Without The Stamp & Seal of Nigerian Bar Association

If a lawyer is acting in his capacity as a legal practitioner, legal officer or adviser of any government department or ministry or corporation, it is forbidden for him to sign or file a legal document that does not possess the seal and stamp of the Nigerian Bar Association.

As such, before a layer can file or sign any legal document, he must affix on such document the seal and stamp of the Nigerian Bar Association.

Any legal document filed or signed by a legal practitioner should possess the seal and stamp of the Nigeria Bar Association.
